Jamiu Ayoade, a 25-year-old tailor was allegedly shot dead by a policeman, who is believed to be a senior officer at Ijeshatedo Divisional Police Headquarters Lagos on Sunday evening, May 7.
The incident which occurred around 8:28 p.m. at No. 49, Wosilat Daudu St., Ijeshatedo, also left two persons injured.

The deceased had gone to the area to attend a friend’s birthday party when he met his untimely death, one of the sources said.
It was learnt that the officer and his men had stormed the venue of the birthday party in two patrol vans at about 6. 30 p.m. and left after observing what the youths were doing.
“Some minutes later, the officer and his men came back to the venue and one of the policemen shot sporadically into the air.
“The officer, who was sitting in front of one of the patrol vans allegedly alighted from the vehicle and brought out his service pistol and went straight to where Ayoade was sitting close to his girlfriend and shot him on the head at close range,” said another source.

Attendees and residents of the street, who were shocked by the gruesome murder of the boy, wept profusely and rained  curses on the police officer.
The elder brother of the celebrant,  Mr Jelili Bakare, told NAN that they were shocked by the manner Ayoade was killed.

American teenager is arrested for helping friend commit suicide saying he wanted to watch someone die

American teenager is arrested for helping friend commit sucide saying he wants to watch someone die
Tyerell Przybycien an 18yr old from Utah has been arrested after he helped his 16yr old friend commit suicide. He bought the materials she needed and filmed her as she killed herself. He was arrested and taken to the Utah County Jail for investigation of murder and reckless endangerment.

He allegedly told police he had a fascination with death and wanted to see someone die..

A hunter found the girl hanging from a rope in a tree. In two plastic grocery bags on the ground near her body was a handwritten note stating who the girl was and explaining that 'if there were any questions to watch the video', a cell phone and a receipt for rope with Przybycien's name on it. On the cell phone was videotape taken before and after the girl's death.

In a report, the investigating officer wrote: 'You can clearly see the victim (in the video) with a noose around her neck while standing on a rock.

'Przybycien is heard asking the juvenile to say something. The female victim then inhales a large dose of the industrial strength air duster and loses consciousness.

'Przybycien then continues to film this incident on camera for approximately 10 to 11 minutes. Przybycien never offers assistance at anytime, and can be heard asking her to move or say something.'

The two friends can also be heard talking to each other as they prepared the scene together, according to Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon. He said: 'Don't know if he encouraged her as much as he did not actively discourage her. They talked about it. He knew what she intended to do. They went together as he purchased the items she intended to use. And he played an active role in her death.
'He told detectives he had a sort of fascination with death, and wanted to watch someone die.'

According to an affidavit, Przybycien confessed to facilitating the girl's suicide. The affidavit read:
'He confessed to purchasing the industrial strength air duster, purchasing the rope, driving the victim up to the location, helping tie the noose, and filming the incident which resulted in the death of the victim and taking no action to stop it or render aid '
'Przybycien also stated that he, too, was suicidal and wanted to watch the victim die to see if it was something he could go through with himself.

'During questioning, Przybycien also expressed feeling that he was responsible for her death and that she would still be here if he hadn’t helped her.'

The girl has reportedly struggled from mental health problems in the past and had suicidal thoughts.
